Dan Kellner (That's me!) is a self-employed, award-winning graphic designer, web development consultant, and Olympic fencer. He spends a lot of time working from his sofa, and this is a platform for his thoughts and illustrations about working from home, the view from the couch, fencing, and just about anything else he feels like.

What Would Tyler Durden Do?
A friend gave it to me years ago and since I don’t use it anymore, I’d like to pass it on to someone else. Click the thumbnail to the right for a larger view of the actual bottom of the board. (It has black griptape on top.)

I would like to put in for the skateboard as a form of land transportation for my boat as my bike is too big to keep on board. I will sail into Brooklyn to pick it up.

Bronx Kickflip (Tyrone) says:
I like to collect boards, boards that have gnarly value to it. I hate it when people focus decks.
When I know its time to put a board down, I always think about all the miles I skated, all the hills I bombed, all the new tricks I learned, and how much I progressed since I started riding that board. The results always make me feel proud, and destined which leaves me with two options, either keep it or give it to a kid and probably change his/her life forever, thats what my first skateboard did for me.
I believe in every skateboard theres magic.

Since neither myself nor the Micster can ever hope to ride a skateboard, i’d say give it to us so we can use it as a coaster. Or I can cut it in half and use it as roller-skis. Or I can pop the wheels off and use the board as leverage for getting a full garbage bag out of the can. Either way you know it’ll be well taken care of and respected.

I actually used to skateboard - I have a flexdex at home and would love to expand my collection with a trick board. If I win, you can take pictures of me using it and post them on your blog, ’nuff said.

I’ll use the skateboard to support my desktop computer’s tower. This way I can move from my desk to the sofa and work better. This way I’ll become famous, be on the cover of the Times and in the article I’ll mention your skateboard and you’ll be famous too.
And even better, in the weekend I can practise my lousy kickflips and fall and break something, so I have to stay by the couch one full month. This way I can focus on my geniality full time, and take humanity one step further in evolution.
